New fleet of SCANIA Euro 6 trucks

2019 marks a major investment for EM2S 38 with the complete renewal of the vehicle fleet. We have invested in 16 latest generation SCANIA R500 – EURO 6 trucks.

A design choice

We fell in love with the lines of these vehicles as well as all the very clever interior equipment (driving assistance, storage, ergonomics of the seats, personal spaces, functions in the dashboard, torque, traction … ). This premium range not only increases the driving comfort of our drivers but also the safety of their road behavior. This complete change of fleet allows us to establish the dynamics of our company within the framework of its investment policy.

A logical and reasoned choice

Always keen to improve our processes and aware of our impact on the environment, we wanted to invest in latest generation trucks, the vehicles have the latest anti-pollution standards.
Euro 6 trucks notably use a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) converter and Adblue (a non-toxic solution) to treat the exhaust gases of modern clean diesel engines. This makes a significant difference for diesel NOx emissions, turning the pollutants into harmless water particles (H2O) and nitrogen (N2).

Respect for the environment

This complete renewal is part of our more global quality approach and our environmental protection which also includes other actions:
> Each year we organize a diesel challenge intended to reward the best driver or the best progress of one of them in terms of fuel consumption.
> All our trucks are clamped at 80km / h to save fuel and reduce exhaust emissions.
> Finally, and we will talk to you about it again, we are recommencing our environmental sponsorship actions with the ONF for renaturation operations in the Rhône-Alpes region.
